Position: Global Operations Controller High Speed (m/f/d)

As the Global Operations Controller for High Speed, you will partner directly with the Global Head of Operations to foster sound business decisions through the monitoring, analysis, and interpretation of financial and operational data. Your expertise will be critical in assessing alternatives and recommending optimal solutions while overseeing the budgeting and forecasting processes for the local manufacturing site, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a Business Partner to the Global Head of Operations and the Operations Management Team for High Speed.
  • Provide a comprehensive overview of our KPIs, along with recommendations for improvement in operating expenses, utilization, absorption, productivity, hourly rate development, and material cost savings.
  • Assist project managers with business and investment initiatives, evaluating business cases and providing structured fixed asset data.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to create accurate financial forecasts.
  • Offer monthly updates on mid-term resource planning.
  • Prepare ad-hoc analyses and scenarios as needed.
  • Run month-end closings, including financial statement reviews; responsibilities include booking and accruing operating expenses, analyzing and reclassifying expenses, and coordinating with accounting service centers and human resources.
  • Regularly review and assess balance sheet positions, provisions, and accruals.
  • Plan and execute quarterly and annual product cost calculations and deviation analyses for VCE and High Speed.
  • Compare product costs between Switzerland and China post-localization.
  • Ensure alignment of the budgeting process with the division’s strategic objectives.
  • Provide input for the three-year plan.
  • Create templates and deliver analyses to assess business performance, offering forward-looking insights to help Division High Speed manage resource allocation, achieve cost savings, and improve inventory management and networking capital.
  • Provide support for initiatives both within and beyond operations.
  • Maintain internal controls and manage financial risks in operations.

Your Background:

  • Strong educational background in accounting and controlling, such as a commercial apprenticeship and a bachelor’s degree in finance and controlling.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting and controlling, preferably in an industrial background.
  • Detail-oriented and result-driven controller with a strong focus on internal controls and processes.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills to secure and understand relevant financial information.
  • Proficient knowledge and experience in SAP (FI/CO, SD), business application tools, BW, and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, approaching challenges with an open mindset, persistence, and a solution-oriented approach.
  • Flexible, independent, and a collaborative team player.
  • Fluent in German; proficiency in English is an asset.
