Job Title: Global Head of Operations and Supply Chain

Job Purpose and Impact

We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Global Head of Supply Chain Operations to lead the transformation of our global supply chain. This role is critical to driving operational excellence, digital innovation, and commercial impact across our dry bulk freight trading and logistics network. The ideal candidate will also serve as a key external representative of the company in global maritime and logistics forums.

Key Accountabilities

• Strategic Leadership & Transformation:

  Lead the global transformation of supply chain operations, aligning with business strategy and growth objectives. Champion a culture of continuous improvement, agility, and innovation.

• Digital Supply Chain Innovation:

  Drive the adoption of digital tools, platforms, and analytics to enhance visibility, efficiency, and decision-making. Lead initiatives in automation, AI, and data-driven optimization.

• Operational Excellence:

  Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations including chartering, port logistics, inventory management, and customer delivery. Ensure high performance across KPIs such as cost, service, safety, and sustainability.

• Team Leadership & Development:

  Lead and inspire a large, globally distributed team of supply chain professionals. Build capabilities, foster collaboration, and develop future leaders.

• Commercial & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  Partner with trading, finance, and commercial teams to align supply chain strategies with market dynamics. Negotiate and manage key supplier and logistics partner relationships.

• Execution & Problem Solving:

  Dive deep into operational challenges and lead from the front to resolve issues and unlock value. Maintain a strong presence in the field and across key operational nodes.

• External Representation & Industry Engagement:

  Represent the company in international maritime and logistics organizations such as the International Maritime Forum and other relevant institutions. Contribute to shaping industry standards, regulatory discussions, and sustainability initiatives.

Key Qualifications

• 10 to 15 years extensive experience in dry bulk, maritime logistics, commodity trading, or similarly complex and dynamic supply chain environments, with a strong understanding of operational and commercial interdependencies.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale transformation and digitalization initiatives.

• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of freight markets and trading dynamics.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience engaging with international industry bodies and regulatory forums is a strong advantage.
