Your New Role

In this dynamic position, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Global Medical Affairs Rare Disease. This high-impact role balances strategic thinking with robust execution to enhance medical excellence and scientific communication across diverse portfolios and geographies.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Co-lead the integration of a new asset, collaborating within a highly cross-functional model to establish a new therapeutic area at Novo Nordisk.
  • Develop comprehensive Medical Affairs strategies that align business priorities with operational plans for Rare Blood and Rare Kidney diseases.
  • Oversee key medical affairs activities in early pre-launch, ensuring excellence in medical insights and launch readiness.
  • Create a cohesive, proactive global scientific communications strategy that effectively communicates clinical data.
  • Enhance our scientific communication, advance digital engagement, and translate complex scientific concepts into improved clinical care through intentional scientific exchange.
  • Promote excellence in medical affairs capabilities across global and affiliate medical teams, maintaining cutting-edge competencies in medical excellence and scientific communication.

Your Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for an organized, proactive professional with a can-do attitude and strong communication skills. You should possess a data-driven approach to decision-making and excel at influencing across all organizational levels, thriving on innovation while balancing strategic vision with operational execution.

What You Will Bring

  • 8+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with proven expertise in product launches from a Medical Affairs perspective, along with strong skills in medical/scientific communication.
  • Extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of developing and executing diverse scientific communications deliverables.
  • An advanced degree (MSc, MBA, PhD, or MD) is required.
  • Fluency in English and the ability to work effectively in a global matrix environment across diverse cultural and scientific settings.
  • Exceptional project and stakeholder management skills, particularly in complex matrix environments.
