Your New Role

In this dynamic position, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Global Medical Affairs for Rare Disease. Balancing strategic thinking with robust execution, you will drive medical excellence and scientific communication across various portfolios and geographies.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Co-lead the integration of a new asset, collaborating within a highly cross-functional model to establish a new therapeutic area at Novo Nordisk.
  • Develop comprehensive Medical Affairs strategies that align business priorities with operational plans for Rare Blood and Rare Kidney disease.
  • Execute key medical affairs activities in early pre-launch, emphasizing medical excellence, launch readiness, and medical insights.
  • Translate medical strategic priorities into a cohesive, proactive global scientific communications strategy, ensuring impactful communication of clinical data.
  • Advance our scientific communication efforts, enhance digital engagement, and facilitate the translation of complex science into improved clinical care through deliberate scientific exchange.
  • Promote excellence in medical affairs capabilities within both global and affiliate teams, maintaining state-of-the-art competencies in medical excellence and scientific communication.

Your Skills & Qualifications

We seek an organized, proactive professional with a can-do attitude, confident communication skills, and a data-driven approach to decision-making. You excel at influencing others across organizational layers, thrive on innovation, and balance strategic vision with operational execution.

What You Will Bring

  • 8+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, demonstrating expertise in product launches from a Medical Affairs perspective and strong skills in medical/scientific communication.
  • Extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of developing and executing diverse scientific communications deliverables.
  • An advanced degree (MSc, MBA, PhD, or MD) is required.
  • Fluency in English and the ability to navigate effectively in a global matrix environment across diverse cultural and scientific contexts.
  • Outstanding project and stakeholder management skills, particularly within complex matrix settings.
