Your Role
In this role, you will define and secure competitive and resilient sources of supply for the Components category while collaborating with all global Accelleron divisions (product and service business), countries, and global functions. This strategic position targets the highest productivity while considering cost, capital employed, on-time delivery (OTD), quality, and resilience in alignment with our Supply Chain Management (SCM) Strategy. You will report directly to the Head of Direct Material Sourcing.
Your Responsibilities
- Strategy: Develop and implement the category strategy and targets in line with overall SCM and Division strategies to achieve profitable growth, supply chain resilience, and sustainability.
- Accountability:
- Directly lead local Category Managers and functionally support category leaders across global locations.
- Ensure cost competitiveness, maintain high global quality standards, and ensure parts availability to enhance Accelleron's competitiveness and customer focus.
- Collaborate with and guide global teams across sourcing hubs to improve resilience, cost efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery.
- Drive the enhancement of sourcing hubs to minimize lead times for new part development and sample releases.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster seamless collaboration and long-term partnerships.
- Evaluate and develop new suppliers while securing sustainable supply sources.
- Assign sourcing of category parts to various regions and lead supplier development.
- Manage global contracts and negotiations for the assigned category.
- Coordinate and oversee category-related investments.
- Implement active supplier risk management to secure Accelleron’s sources of supply.
- Provide relevant category reporting to Divisions, countries, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure the optimization of transport logistics from suppliers and sourcing hubs.
- General:
- Recruit and nurture essential personnel to build a skilled, high-performing team.
- Implement active retention and talent development strategies.
Your Background
- University degree with substantial knowledge in Supply Chain Management, Business Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Proven experience in Supply Chain Management and Category Management, preferably in a production setting.
- Strong leadership experience.
- Relevant experience in production/sourcing within an international business environment.
- Strategic orientation with systematic thinking.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Good understanding of global markets and customer requirements.
