Role Overview
In this role, you will define and secure competitive and resilient sources of supply for the category of Components, collaborating with all global Accelleron divisions (product and service business), countries, and global functions. Your primary goal will be to achieve maximum productivity while considering cost, capital employed, on-time delivery (OTD), quality, and resilience in alignment with our Supply Chain Management (SCM) Strategy. You will report directly to the Head of Direct Material Sourcing.
Your Responsibilities
Strategy
- Develop and implement the category strategy and targets in accordance with the overall SCM and Division strategies to achieve profitable growth, supply chain resilience, and sustainability.
Accountability
- Lead local Category Managers and functionally local category leaders in various global locations.
- Ensure cost competitiveness, maintain a high global quality standard, and guarantee high availability of parts to enhance Accelleron's competitiveness and customer focus.
- Collaboration and guidance to global teams across sourcing hubs to improve resilience, cost efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery.
- Drive the development of sourcing hubs to reduce lead times for new parts development and sample releases on-site.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers for seamless collaboration and long-term partnerships.
- Evaluate and develop new suppliers and secure supply sources.
- Assign sourcing of category parts to different regions and lead supplier development initiatives.
- Manage global contracts and negotiations for the assigned category.
- Coordinate and drive category-related investments.
- Implement an active supplier risk management strategy to ensure reliable sources of supply for Accelleron.
- Ensure appropriate category reporting to Divisions, countries, and other stakeholders.
- Secure and optimize transport logistics from suppliers and sourcing hubs.
General Responsibilities

Your Background
- University degree with substantial knowledge of Supply Chain Management, Business Engineering, and/or Business Administration.
- Proven experience in Supply Chain Management and Category Management, with a preference for production experience.
- Strong leadership experience with relevant exposure to production and sourcing in an international business environment.
- Strategic orientation and systematic thinking abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Good understanding of global markets and customers.
