Global Business Development Manager -- Life Science (m/f/d)

As the Global Business Development Manager for Life Science, you will play a pivotal role in streamlining GF Piping Systems' activities within this sector, unlocking untapped potential in our offerings for the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Consumer Health Care, and Medical Labs & Institutions segments. Your mission will be to leverage our global capabilities to their fullest extent by building relationships with key stakeholders, defining our value proposition, and crafting a sales strategy that positions GF Piping Systems as a preferred supplier in the Life Science industry. This position can be based in Switzerland, Germany, France, the Nordics, the Netherlands, or Belgium—key hotspots for the Life Science sector.
Your Tasks:
- Define ambitious yet realistic sales targets for the Life Sciences sector in alignment with the 2030 company strategy.
- Formulate actionable strategies and go-to-market plans to achieve these targets, ensuring coherence with broader business objectives.
- Lead initiatives to establish and promote a compelling and differentiated value proposition focused on areas such as Water for Injection (WFI), Deionized (DI) Water, and Waste Stream management.
- Reinvigorate and enhance momentum within our sales company, fostering collaboration and providing strategic guidance to improve the effectiveness of sales teams across regions.
- Develop robust relationships with selected and prioritized End Users, EPCs, and water-related OEMs in the Life Science industry.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of GF's offerings for the Life Science industry, including fusion technologies, prefabrication, and consulting services.
- Represent GF at industry events to expand networks, acting as a speaker on industry panels and forums.
- Collaborate with marketing professionals to develop marketing materials and sales playbooks that showcase GF Piping Systems' portfolio for Life Science.
- Conduct training sessions for sales companies and GF's network.
Your Profile:
- A master's or bachelor's degree, preferably in a Pharma or Life Science-related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the Pharma/Life Science market, with a strong network in EPCs and Water Treatment OEMs.
- Extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, water requirements, and plant and water treatment.
- Strong technical and biological skills enabling effective collaboration with pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, and research labs.
- Excellent verbal and presentation skills, complemented by strong analytical and interpersonal abilities.
- A passion for building relationships and the ability to inspire institutions, decision-makers, and stakeholders with your ideas.
- Fluency in English at a high professional level; additional languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel over 50% of the time.
