Global Business Development Manager - Life Science (m/f/d)

Location: Switzerland, Schaffhausen (or other European countries)

As our Global Business Development Manager for Life Science, you will streamline GF Piping Systems' activities in this field and unlock the untapped potential of our offerings in the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Consumer Health Care, and Medical Labs & Institutions segments. The goal is to harness global capabilities to their fullest extent by building relationships with key stakeholders, defining the value proposition, and crafting a sales strategy to position GF Piping Systems as a preferred supplier in the Life Science Industry, addressing gaps, and seizing new opportunities. This position can be based in Switzerland, Germany, France, the Nordics, the Netherlands, or Belgium—key hotspots of the Life Science industry.

Your Tasks:

  • Define ambitious and realistic sales targets for the Life Sciences sector aligned with our 2030 company strategy.
  • Formulate actionable strategies and go-to-market plans to achieve these targets, ensuring they align with broader business objectives.
  • Lead efforts to define and promote a compelling and differentiated value proposition in key areas such as Water for Injection (WFI), Deionized (DI) Water, and Waste Stream Management.
  • Reactivate and build momentum within the sales company, fostering collaboration and providing strategic guidance to enhance the effectiveness of sales teams across regions.
  • Develop deep relationships with selected and prioritized End Users, EPCs, and water-related OEMs in the Life Science industry.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of GF's offerings for the Life Science Industry, including fusion technologies, prefab, and consulting needs.
  • Attend industry events to expand networks and participate as a speaker in industry panels/forums.
  • Develop marketing materials and sales playbooks to showcase GF Piping Systems' portfolio for Life Science, in collaboration with marketing professionals.
  • Conduct training sessions for sales companies and GF's network.

Your Profile:

  • A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a Pharma or Life Science-related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the Pharma/Life Science market, with a broad network including EPCs and Water Treatment OEMs.
  • Extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, water requirements, and plant and water treatment.
  • Strong technical and biological knowledge with the ability to engage directly with pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, and research labs.
  • Excellent verbal and presentation skills, complemented by strong analytical and interpersonal abilities.
  • A passion for relationship-building and the ability to inspire institutions, decision-makers, and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in English at a high professional level; additional languages are an asset.
  • Willingness to travel more than 50% of the time.
