About the Position
Abbott's Established Pharmaceutical Division (EPD) is seeking a talented and driven Global Brand Manager for Oncology to join our team at the global Pharma Division Headquarters located in Allschwil-Basel.
Primary Job Function
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic business and marketing plan to promote the growth of Abbott’s Oncology brands across key indications. You will ensure the successful implementation of marketing strategies, securing full engagement from regional and affiliate teams to achieve outstanding commercial results.
Core Job Responsibilities
- Strategic Marketing Leadership: Champion robust cross-functional brand plans that accelerate the growth of Abbott’s Oncology and Biosimilar brands, identifying trends and leveraging opportunities to excel against competitors.
- Market Insights and Research: Lead the exploration of critical market insights and research to address unmet needs and enhance customer experiences, translating these insights into actionable marketing strategies.
- Brand Positioning and Differentiation: Define and oversee global brand positioning, ensuring compelling messaging and competitive differentiation for Oncology and Biosimilar products.
- Integrated Marketing Programs: Design and manage the execution of integrated marketing programs, utilizing a portfolio selling approach and multi-channel strategies to effectively engage healthcare professionals, pharmacists, and patients.
- Global Launch Excellence: Create and implement comprehensive global launch plans for new Oncology and Biosimilar products, ensuring alignment and seamless execution across affiliates.
- Affiliate Collaboration and Support: Build strong communication with local marketing and sales teams, providing guidance to ensure affiliate marketing plans are strategically sound.
- Budget Optimization: Manage the promotional support budget strategically to maximize ROI and meet top-line and bottom-line objectives for the Oncology and Biosimilar portfolio.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish mechanisms to track the execution and impact of marketing programs, preparing detailed monthly reports for senior management.
- Best Practice Sharing: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting the sharing of best practices across regions and affiliates within the global marketing team.
Minimum Education
A university degree, ideally in Science and/or Business, complemented by an MBA or postgraduate marketing qualification is preferred.
Minimum Experience/Training Required
- At least 5 years of pharmaceutical/oncology sales and marketing experience.
- Proven success in Oncology and Biosimilar brand management.
- Experience within Emerging Markets (LatAm, Asia, Middle-East & Africa) is a significant advantage.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages such as Spanish, Arabic, or Mandarin is a plus.
