The Institute of Molecular Systems Biology at ETH Zurich is inviting applications for a Full Stack Web Developer in the laboratory of Prof. Pedro Beltrao. The Beltrao group is dedicated to studying the mechanisms underlying genotype to phenotype relationships. We are interested in understanding how genetic variation at the DNA level can influence protein function, impact cellular processes, and ultimately give rise to human diseases.
While we have a strong track record in fundamental research utilizing computational methods and increasingly incorporating Artificial Intelligence, our current focus is on making these innovations broadly available to the scientific community and beyond. Our objective is to bridge the gap between academic code and real-world applications.
This project aims to develop robust web resources capable of sharing large-scale datasets and AI-driven predictions with a wider audience. As we advance our work towards more translational applications, we are seeking a developer who can assist in transforming research prototypes into user-friendly products with potential commercial viability.
Become part of ETH Zurich, an institution that not only supports your professional development but also actively contributes to societal positive change. You will have the opportunity to shape the project's development from the outset, receiving strong support from bioinformatics and domain knowledge experts. There will also be training opportunities to further enhance your skills and grow in this role.
Expect numerous benefits, including public transport season tickets, car sharing, a wide range of sports offered by the ASVZ, childcare, and attractive pension benefits.
