Your Role
As a skilled BA / .NET developer, you will be instrumental in expanding our global analytics team, utilizing the rich data generated by our comprehensive in-house trading system and external datasets. This is a unique opportunity to interface directly with the business.
As a member of the analytics team based in Geneva, Switzerland, you will:
- Build an innovative Master Data platform that unifies all our applications and integrates them with a common set of entities, such as locations, vessels, contracts, and more.
- Analyze business requirements to identify use-cases needed for disparate systems and design solutions accordingly.
- Collaborate with a global development team.
- Transform user feedback into actionable design improvements and bug fixes.
- Implement clean, well-documented, tested, and extensible code to meet business requirements.
- Provide business applications support and training to users on day-to-day issues.
- Engage in exciting projects, including GIS-based systems and data ingestion and distribution.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with C# and related .NET technologies in global enterprise solutions.
- Proficiency in RDBMS and SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
- Experience working within an agile scrum development model.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with project stakeholders.
- Proactive, user-focused, with a can-do attitude and a genuine interest in both functional and technical aspects of challenges.
- Committed to software development best practices.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities.
- Fluent in English, both oral and written.
Additional Information
Qualifications that will help you stand out:
- Experience with GraphQL or gRPC is a plus.
- Familiarity with Reactive Extensions (RX) preferred.
- Previous experience in the commodities and/or trading industry.
- University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Computer Science, MIS, or an equivalent field.
- French language skills are an advantage.
