As a Front Desk Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
Planning, overseeing, and executing daily operations for the Front Desk, including adherence to hotel standard procedures, check-in/out processes, housekeeping, supplies management, cleanliness standards, and guest satisfaction.
Promoting a culture of excellence in guest care through a warm welcome and a commitment to exceeding expectations.
Collaborating with all departments to ensure seamless daily operations.
Conducting regular operational meetings with all branch members to discuss routine matters, departmental performance targets, and guest feedback.
Managing all day-to-day queries, complaints, or problems that arise within the branch.
Monitoring the branch functions book and staying updated with all amendments.
Liaising daily with the General Manager and Direct Manager to forecast the hotel's business on a weekly basis and planning accordingly.
Maximizing financial opportunities while fostering a proactive up-selling environment throughout the property.
Performing Duty Management shifts as required.
Conducting regular fire walks and health & safety audits.
Promoting a positive employee relations culture through effective communication and regular team meetings.
Carrying out regular inspections of all departments focusing on guest service delivery, cleanliness, presentation, employee service delivery, and grooming.
Ensuring reasonable care is taken concerning the health and safety of yourself, other employees, guests, and any other individuals on the premises.
Qualifications
A degree in Hotel Management or a related field is required.
Fluency in German is essential.
Must reside in or near Interlaken.
At least two years of experience in a similar role.
Experience in the Swiss hospitality industry is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A valid driver's license.
