Responsibilities
As a key member of our team, you will plan, oversee, and execute day-to-day operations at the Front Desk, ensuring compliance with hotel standards. Your primary responsibilities include:
- Managing check-in/check-out procedures, housekeeping, and supply management to maintain cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
- Promoting a culture of excellence in guest care by providing a warm welcome and striving to exceed expectations.
- Collaborating with all departments to ensure seamless daily operations.
- Conducting regular operations meetings with branch members to discuss routine operational matters, departmental performance targets, and guest feedback.
- Addressing all day-to-day queries, complaints, or issues that arise within the branch.
- Monitoring the branch functions book and staying updated with all amendments.
- Liaising daily with the General Manager and Direct Manager to forecast hotel business and plan accordingly.
- Maximizing financial opportunities and fostering a proactive up-selling environment throughout the property.
- Carrying out Duty Management shifts as necessary.
- Conducting regular fire walks and Health & Safety audits.
- Encouraging a positive employee relations culture through effective communication and regular team meetings.
- Performing regular inspections of all departments to assess guest service delivery, cleanliness, presentation, employee grooming, and service efficiency.
- Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety standards for yourself, employees, guests, and all individuals on the premises.
Qualifications
- Degree in Hotel Management or a similar field is required.
- Fluency in German is a must.
- Residence in Interlaken or the surrounding area is preferred.
- At least two years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in the Swiss hospitality industry is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A valid driver's license is required.
