Responsibilities
As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in managing day-to-day operations at the front desk, ensuring adherence to hotel standards and promoting an exceptional guest experience. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning, overseeing, and executing daily operations for the front desk, including check-in/out procedures, housekeeping coordination, supply management, and maintaining cleanliness to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Fostering a culture of excellence in guest care by providing a warm welcome and striving to exceed expectations.
- Collaborating with all departments to ensure the smooth running of operations.
- Conducting regular operations meetings with all branch members to discuss routine operational matters, departmental performance targets, and guest feedback.
- Addressing all day-to-day queries, complaints, or issues that arise within the branch.
- Monitoring the branch functions book and familiarizing yourself with all updates and amendments.
- Engaging with the General Manager and Direct Manager daily to forecast hotel business performance and plan accordingly.
- Maximizing financial opportunities and cultivating a proactive up-selling environment throughout the property.
- Carrying out Duty Management shifts as required.
- Conducting regular fire walks and Health & Safety audits to ensure compliance.
- Promoting a positive employee relations culture through effective communication and regular team meetings.
- Performing inspections of all departments, focusing on guest service delivery, cleanliness, presentation, and employee grooming.
- Ensuring the health and safety of yourself, fellow employees, guests, and all individuals on the premises are prioritized.
Qualifications
- A degree in Hotel Management or a similar field is required.
- Fluency in German is essential.
- Must reside in Interlaken or the surrounding area.
- At least two years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in the Switzerland hospitality industry is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A valid driver's license is required.
