Responsibilities
The Front Desk Supervisor will plan, oversee, and execute daily operations, ensuring adherence to hotel standards and procedures for check-in/out, housekeeping, supplies, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.
- Promote a culture of excellence in guest care by providing a warm welcome and striving to exceed expectations.
- Collaborate with all departments to ensure the seamless operation of daily activities.
- Conduct regular operations meetings with branch members to discuss routine matters, departmental performance targets, and guest feedback.
- Manage all day-to-day queries, complaints, or issues that arise within the branch.
- Monitor the branch functions book and stay updated with all amendments.
- Engage daily with the General Manager and Direct Manager to forecast hotel business weekly and plan accordingly.
- Maximize financial opportunities and foster a proactive up-selling environment throughout the property.
- Conduct Duty Management shifts as needed.
- Perform regular fire walks and Health & Safety audits.
- Cultivate a positive employee relations culture through effective communication and regular team meetings.
- Inspect all departments regularly to assess guest service delivery, cleanliness, presentation, and employee appearance and grooming.
- Ensure the health and safety of yourself, fellow employees, guests, and any other individuals on the premises.
Qualifications
- A degree in Hotel Management or a related field is required.
- Fluency in German is essential.
- Must reside in or around Interlaken.
- At least two years of experience in a similar role is required.
- Experience in the Swiss hospitality industry is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A valid driver's license is required.
