Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated French teacher to inspire and educate academically motivated high school sophomores (ages 15-16) from various schools across the United States. Our program offers an engaging environment for teaching French I through Advanced Placement French, with class sizes ranging from 2 to 6 students.
Responsibilities
- Teach French I through French Advanced Placement classes.
- Conduct four classes and assess students regularly through assignments, tests, and exams.
- Maintain correspondence with the sending schools in the United States, typically via email.
- Utilize curricula provided by the home school for each student.
Requirements
- Native or C2 level English writing and speaking skills.
- Bachelor of Arts in French teaching.
- Preferred qualifications include a Master's or PhD degree in a relevant field.
- Strong teaching background across various levels of secondary school French.
- Familiarity with the US curriculum is advantageous.
- Advisory duties for 4-5 students.
- Outdoor experience in activities such as hiking, climbing, biking, and skiing is preferred but not required.
