Job Description

SMG is seeking a proactive Intern to join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Team for a minimum of six months, starting as soon as possible. The FP&A team at SMG plays a vital role in forecasting, planning, and supporting decision-making across all business units. We collaborate closely with general managers to ensure the financial health of the SMG Group.

In this role, you'll engage in diverse business topics and contribute to our business intelligence efforts. You'll gain expertise in marketplaces, real estate, finance, and insurance, providing a valuable learning experience.

We're looking for candidates who are passionate about digital trends and innovative business models, particularly in the Classifieds and Marketplace industry. Strong communication skills and a desire to learn and grow are essential.

Your Tasks

• Supporting the General Marketplaces FP&A team
• Focusing on revenue reporting and modeling, including key drivers
• Assisting in month-end and forecast processes
• Contributing to revenue planning and driver analyses
• Providing ad hoc support to the wider SMG FP&A team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, economics, or a comparable field
• Keen interest in Classifieds & Marketplace business models
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and reflective skills
• Independence in managing tasks along with proactivity, open-mindedness, and assertiveness
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team under strict deadlines
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and their G-Suite (Google Workspace) equivalents
• Knowledge of PowerBI is a plus
• Relevant practical experience through internships is advantageous
• Business fluency in English
