Job Description

We are looking for a proactive Intern to join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Team for a minimum of six months, starting ASAP. The FP&A team plays a pivotal role in forecasting, planning, and supporting decision-making across all business units. Collaborating closely with general managers, we ensure the financial health of the SMG Group.

In this role, you'll engage in a variety of business topics and contribute to our business intelligence efforts. You'll develop expertise in marketplaces, real estate, finance, and insurance, providing you with a valuable learning experience.

We seek candidates who are passionate about digital trends and innovative business models, particularly within the Classifieds and Marketplace industry. Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to learn and grow are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the General Marketplaces FP&A team
• Focus on revenue reporting and modeling, and the underlying drivers
• Assist with month-end and forecast processes
• Contribute to revenue planning and driver trees
• Provide ad-hoc support to the wider SMG FP&A team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a comparable field
• Keen interest in Classifieds & Marketplace business models
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and critical thinking skills
• Independence in managing tasks, along with proactivity, open-mindedness, and assertiveness
• Ability to work effectively in a team and meet strict deadlines
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and their G-Suite (Google Workspace) equivalents
• Knowledge of PowerBI is a plus
• Relevant practical experience through prior internships is advantageous
• Business fluency in English
