Job Description

SMG is seeking a proactive Intern to join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Team for at least six months, starting ASAP. The FP&A team at SMG is crucial in forecasting, planning, and supporting decision-making across all business units. We work closely with general managers to ensure the financial health of the SMG Group.

In this role, you'll engage in diverse business topics and contribute to our business intelligence efforts. You'll gain expertise in marketplaces, real estate, finance, and insurance, providing a valuable learning experience.

We’re looking for candidates passionate about digital trends and innovative business models, especially in the Classifieds and Marketplace industry. Strong communication skills and a desire to learn and grow are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the General Marketplaces FP&A team
• A focus on revenue reporting and modelling, and drivers therein
• A focus on month-end and forecast processes
• A focus on revenue planning and driver trees
• Ad-hoc support of the wider SMG FP&A team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, economics, or a comparable field
• Keen interest in Classifieds & Marketplace business models
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and reflective skills
• Independence in managing your tasks, proactivity, open-mindedness, and assertiveness
• Ability to work in a team and meet strict deadlines
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and their G-Suite (Google Workspace) equivalents
• Knowledge of PowerBI is an advantage
• Relevant practical experience through internships is a plus
• Business fluent in English
