Job Description

SMG is seeking a proactive Intern to join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Team for at least six months, starting as soon as possible. The FP&A team at SMG plays a vital role in forecasting, planning, and supporting decision-making across all business units. We work closely with general managers to ensure the financial health of the SMG Group.

In this role, you will engage with diverse business topics and contribute to our business intelligence efforts. You'll gain insights into marketplaces, real estate, finance, and insurance, providing you with a valuable learning experience.

We are looking for candidates who are passionate about digital trends and innovative business models, particularly in the Classifieds and Marketplace industry. Strong communication skills and a desire to learn and grow are essential.

Your Responsibilities

• Support the General Marketplaces FP&A team
• Focus on revenue reporting and modeling, as well as driving factors
• Contribute to month-end and forecast processes
• Assist in revenue planning and driver trees
• Provide adhoc support to the wider SMG FP&A team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, economics, or a comparable field
• Keen interest in Classifieds & Marketplace business models
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and reflective skills
• Independence in managing tasks, proactivity, open-mindedness, and assertiveness
• Ability to work collaboratively and meet strict deadlines
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and their G-Suite (Google Workspace) equivalents
• Knowledge of PowerBI is a plus
• Relevant practical experience through prior internships is advantageous
• Business fluent in English
