Co-Founder & Fullstack Engineer (Full-time, On-site in St. Gallen)
This position is tailor-made for individuals seeking to actively contribute to the expansive growth of LocalBini within a cutting-edge technological landscape. Your daily responsibilities will encompass a spectrum of tasks, including backend development using Python, architecting infrastructure with Terraform on AWS, crafting intuitive front-end experiences in the React framework, and spearheading mobile app development using Flutter. Moreover, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring software quality through the creation of comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate seamlessly with our dynamic part-time remote development team as well as the St. Gallen business team to conceptualize and refine the software solution.
- Craft robust back-end applications using Python, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Shape the logic and user interface of front-end applications using React.js (TypeScript) technology, guaranteeing a seamless and intuitive user experience.
- Develop the infrastructure with Terraform, leveraging AWS PaaS, SaaS, FaaS, and IaaS to create a scalable and efficient ecosystem.
- Leverage Flutter to develop a cutting-edge mobile application, focusing on a user-friendly interface and smooth functionality.
- Conduct thorough testing to validate software responsiveness and efficiency, while prioritizing the security and confidentiality of user data.
- Implement mobile-responsive design principles for features and applications, ensuring an exceptional experience across various devices.
- Generate comprehensive technical documentation.
- Collaborate closely with data scientists and analysts to enhance the LocalBini experience through continuous improvement and innovation.
- Execute front-end logic and UI enhancements for applications, ensuring a cohesive and visually appealing user interface.
- Optimize app performance on mobile devices through Responsive Web Design (RWD) adjustments, enhancing accessibility and user satisfaction.
- Facilitate integrations with external systems, such as Google Analytics, to gather valuable insights and enhance overall system functionality.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on commercial experience with Python and React.
- Proficient with our technology stack: React, AWS (Lambda, S3, SES, SQS), Python, Terraform, and Flutter.
- Extensive Python expertise, with a focus on building REST APIs.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS services, including DynamoDB & Elastic Search (Open Search).
- Familiarity with ORM-based approaches using PSQL.
- Proficiency in Terraform within an AWS environment.
- Strong understanding of asyncio loops, aiohttp, and AWS EventBridge.
- Experience in Event-Driven and Microservices Architectures.
- Knowledge about Domain Driven Development approach.
- Solid understanding of React with Redux and Redux Toolkit using TypeScript.
- Highly experienced with AWS Cognito and AWS Amplify.
- Knowledge of UI/UX design principles.
- Proficient in platform testing: Unit tests, Integration tests, and UI tests.
- DevOps mindset with CI/CD pipeline maintenance expertise (GitLab).
- Fundamental knowledge of cybersecurity, including the ability to conduct and understand automated penetration tests.
- Strong background in SEO optimization.
- Familiarity with AWS cost and performance optimization.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical mindset.
- Experience with Flutter & hands-on involvement in iOS and Android app release cycles.
- Capability for self-code review and proficiency in project management tools like JIRA.
NICE TO HAVE
- Commercial experience with the Lambdalizator framework.
- Designer experience with Figma.

- A full-time basis (100%) unlimited employment contract in St. Gallen (physically).

- A competitive salary package (mix between cash and stocks) in return for your full commitment to LocalBini. The cash proportion is set to gross CHF 5,000 per month.
