ANAVIA specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of vertical takeoff & landing (VTOL) systems with a capacity of up to 500 kilograms. We provide industry-leading unmanned helicopter systems for a variety of mission profiles, including Surveillance & Reconnaissance, Inspection, Mapping, and Cargo.
Position Overview: Flight Technician
As a Flight Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely execution of assembly, maintenance, and repair tasks in accordance with our work instructions and quality processes. Your responsibilities will include documenting all sub-assembly, final assembly, and maintenance activities related to aircraft, payloads, and other products, while also identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
Your Main Tasks
- Prepare aircraft, Ground Control Stations (GCS), and data transmission systems, and assist with aircraft maintenance and flight preparation as well as ground movements for flight missions.
- Conduct both scheduled and non-scheduled aircraft maintenance work at our Swiss headquarters and globally.
- Perform non-scheduled aircraft repair work, including subsystem removal, installation, replacements, and subsequent testing at our Swiss headquarters and globally.
- Ensure all pre-flight and post-flight maintenance is thoroughly completed, recorded, and signed off.
- Maintain and ensure all Ground Support Equipment (GSE) is serviceable and in good order to support daily flight operations.
- Prepare for the transportation of aircraft, payloads, and other equipment, with a particular focus on compliance with Dangerous Goods requirements.
- Assist in the testing and validation of new systems, software, and hardware as part of our flight testing process.
- Support the team in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during operations and flight tests.
- Participate in the maintenance of UAS ground support equipment and other necessary tools for operations.
What You Bring to the Team
- Education: Associate degree in Aviation Maintenance, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Proven experience in aviation maintenance, UAS operations, or a similar technical role. UAS flight technician experience is highly desirable.
- Skills: Familiarity with flight control systems, avionics, and ground support equipment; basic knowledge of flight operations and procedures.
- Communication: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Language: Proficiency in English (oral and written); additional languages are a plus.
- Other: Valid driver’s license, with a willingness to undergo necessary flight safety and operational training.
