About the Company
ANAVIA specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) systems with a capacity of up to 500 kilograms. The company provides industry-leading unmanned helicopter systems designed for various mission profiles, including Surveillance & Reconnaissance, Inspection, Mapping, and Cargo transportation.
Qualifications
- MSc or PhD in Aerospace Engineering or a related field, specializing in flight dynamics, structural dynamics, or aeroelasticity.
- Hands-on experience with structural testing (both static and dynamic), Ground Vibration Testing (GVT), and vibration analysis.
- Proficient in engineering software such as MATLAB, Simulink, FLIGHTLAB, CAMRAD II, and NASTRAN.
- Strong understanding of helicopter aeromechanics, aeroelastic phenomena, and structural loads methodology.
- Familiar with aerospace certification standards, including DO-160 and relevant MIL-STD documents.
- Experience in analyzing damping strategies and system stability for rotorcraft.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); proficiency in German is desirable.
- Eligibility limited to Swiss or EU citizens.
- Location: On-site in Näfels | Bilten, Switzerland.
Key Tasks
- Perform structural and aerodynamic load analysis.
- Develop, validate, and maintain dynamic and aeroelastic models using CAMRAD II, FLIGHTLAB, Simulink, and NASTRAN.
- Support structural testing campaigns, including static and dynamic testing, modal analysis, and Ground Vibration Testing (GVT).
- Analyze vibration phenomena and contribute to the design and tuning of dampers and passive/active mitigation solutions.
- Evaluate system stability in both low- and high-frequency domains.
- Ensure compliance with relevant aerospace standards (e.g., DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-A-8866).
- Support flight and ground test activities, including defining instrumentation and data analysis.
- Interface with control systems engineers to integrate loads and dynamics considerations into flight control strategies.
- Prepare technical documentation, presentations, and reports for internal use and qualification purposes.
