About the Company
ANAVIA specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) systems weighing up to 500 kilograms. The company offers industry-leading unmanned helicopter systems for a variety of mission profiles, including Surveillance and Reconnaissance, Inspection, Mapping, and Cargo.
Qualifications
- MSc in Aerospace Engineering or a related field, focusing on flight dynamics, control, or vehicle simulation.
- Experience with flight simulation environments and tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, Flightlab, etc.).
- Strong understanding of flight mechanics, control theory, and stability analysis.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Hands-on experience with flight test data processing or autopilot integration is a plus.
- Fluent in English.
- Location: On-site in Näfels | Bilten, Switzerland.
- Eligibility: Swiss or EU citizens only.
Key Tasks
- Develop and maintain 6-DOF flight dynamics models for UAV rotorcraft.
- Support stability and control analysis across the full flight envelope.
- Contribute to control law development and autopilot tuning by supplying simulation models and flight dynamics insights.
- Analyze flight test data to validate simulation models and identify areas for improvement.
- Define and assess aircraft stability margins, dynamic responses, and trim conditions.
- Collaborate with avionics, control systems, and systems engineering teams.
- Prepare and document technical reports, model assumptions, and analysis results.
- Participate in the definition of flight test instrumentation and data analysis for model correlation.
