About the Company
ANAVIA specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) systems weighing up to 500 kilograms. The company offers industry-leading unmanned helicopter systems tailored for various mission profiles, including Surveillance and Reconnaissance, Inspection, Mapping, and Cargo delivery.
Position: Flight Data Engineer
As a Flight Data Engineer at ANAVIA, you will play a crucial role in the design, integration, and testing of unmanned helicopter systems. By collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will help ensure that our systems are reliable, efficient, and in compliance with industry standards.
Your Main Tasks
- Data Collection and Management: Oversee the collection, organization, and storage of data generated during UAV operations, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
- Data Analysis: Analyze flight data to assess UAV performance, identify trends, and uncover insights that inform design improvements and operational strategies.
- Reporting: Develop and produce comprehensive reports and visualizations that effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams, including flight control, test bench, and design engineers, to provide data-driven insights that guide product development and enhancements.
- Tool Development: Create and maintain analytical tools and scripts to automate data processing and analysis tasks, improving efficiency and accuracy.
- Validation and Testing: Support flight testing by analyzing data to validate performance metrics and identify potential issues or areas for optimization.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in data analysis techniques, incorporating best practices into workflows.
What Convince Us
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of significant experience analyzing large datasets, preferably in the aviation or space industry; familiarity with software tools for data processing and an understanding of flight dynamics fundamentals.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of data science tools (Python, Jupyter, etc.), experience with embedded systems and their communication protocols (CAN, UART, etc.), and a fundamental understanding of flight dynamics.
- Communication: Excellent technical communication skills.
