Tasks

As the Flight Crew Roster Team Lead, you will oversee a team dedicated to the development, optimization, and publication of monthly flight crew rosters. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the development and publication of monthly rosters for flight crews while optimizing crew satisfaction, productivity, and operational stability.
  • Guiding the development and evaluation of monthly roster scenarios and setting priorities in collaboration with capacity planning, crew control, and key interfaces.
  • Monitoring short-term crew capacity trends, assessing potential risks, and directing short-term actions to maintain operational stability.
  • Approving critical roster and absence change requests that directly impact planning outcomes.
  • Managing and developing the Flight Crew Roster Team, fostering a high-performance culture.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in business administration, aviation management, or equivalent education.
  • 5+ years of experience in workforce planning, scheduling, or strategic resource management, with familiarity in crew rostering systems and operational planning tools.
  • Operational mindset with the capacity to assess and decide on complex planning scenarios.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Experience in managing teams under pressure is strongly preferred.
  • Fluency in English and German.
