Job Description: Flight Control Software Engineer
As a Flight Control Software Engineer at ANAVIA, you will play a key role in the design, integration, and testing of flight control software for our unmanned helicopter systems. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to building reliable, efficient systems that meet industry standards.
Your Main Tasks
- Flight Control Software: Design, implement, and test model-based software to enable new flight functionalities.
- Simulation: Thoroughly test newly implemented features within a comprehensive simulation framework.
- Documentation: Assist in creating documentation and training materials that outline the flight control logic.
- Autonomy: Design safe and reliable autonomous flight sequences that align with customer needs and adhere to the latest safety regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams, including design engineers, flight operations, and avionics engineers, to introduce new features and product enhancements that realize our customers' visions.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in safety regulations and sensor technology, integrating best practices into workflows.
What We Are Looking For
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Experience: Significant experience with model-based programming, preferably within the aviation or space industry; familiarity with the associated standards and best practices; programming experience in C or similar languages is a plus.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of model-based programming (Simulink or similar); a good understanding of flight dynamics; the capability to design comprehensive test programs from unit to system level.
- Communication: Excellent technical communication skills.
