About the Company
ANAVIA specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) systems capable of carrying up to 500 kilograms. The company offers industry-leading unmanned helicopter systems tailored for various mission profiles, including Surveillance & Reconnaissance, Inspection, Mapping, and Cargo delivery.
Position Overview
As a Flight Control Software Engineer at ANAVIA, you will play a pivotal role in the design, integration, and testing of flight control software for our unmanned helicopter systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our systems are reliable, efficient, and compliant with industry standards.
Your Main Tasks
- Flight Control Software: Design, implement, and test model-based software to enable new flight functionalities.
- Simulation: Rigorously test newly implemented features within a comprehensive simulation framework.
- Documentation: Assist in creating documentation and training materials that outline the flight control logic.
- Autonomy: Design safe, reliable autonomous flight sequences that align with customer needs and adhere to the latest safety regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams, including design engineers, flight operations, and avionics engineers, to provide new features and enhance products that support our customers' vision.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in safety regulations and sensor technology, incorporating best practices into workflows.
What You Bring
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Experience: Significant experience with model-based programming, preferably in the aviation or space industry; familiarity with associated standards and best practices; experience with programming in C or similar languages is a plus.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of model-based programming (Simulink or similar); good understanding of flight dynamics; ability to design comprehensive test programs from unit to system level.
- Communication: Excellent technical communication skills.
