Position Overview

As a Flight Control Software Engineer at ANAVIA, you will play a pivotal role in the design, integration, and testing of flight control software for our unmanned helicopter systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our systems are reliable, efficient, and compliant with industry standards.

Your Main Tasks

  • Flight Control Software: Design, implement, and test model-based software to enable new flight functionalities.
  • Simulation: Rigorously test newly implemented features within a comprehensive simulation framework.
  • Documentation: Assist in creating documentation and training materials that outline the flight control logic.
  • Autonomy: Design safe, reliable autonomous flight sequences that align with customer needs and adhere to the latest safety regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams, including design engineers, flight operations, and avionics engineers, to provide new features and enhance products that support our customers' vision.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in safety regulations and sensor technology, incorporating best practices into workflows.

What You Bring

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Significant experience with model-based programming, preferably in the aviation or space industry; familiarity with associated standards and best practices; experience with programming in C or similar languages is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of model-based programming (Simulink or similar); good understanding of flight dynamics; ability to design comprehensive test programs from unit to system level.
  • Communication: Excellent technical communication skills.
