About the Company
ANAVIA specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) systems capable of supporting up to 500 kilograms. We offer industry-leading unmanned helicopter systems for a variety of mission profiles, including Surveillance & Reconnaissance, Inspection, Mapping, and Cargo.
Position: Flight Control Software Engineer
As a Flight Control Software Engineer at ANAVIA, you will be crucial in designing, integrating, and testing flight control software for our unmanned helicopter systems. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure that our systems are reliable, efficient, and compliant with industry standards.
Your Main Tasks
- Flight Control Software: Design, implement, and test model-based software to enable new flight functionalities.
- Simulation: Conduct thorough testing of newly implemented features within a robust simulation framework.
- Documentation: Assist in the creation of documentation and training materials that outline the flight control logic.
- Autonomy: Design safe, reliable autonomous flight sequences that align with customer needs and meet the latest safety regulations.
- Collaboration: Partner with engineering teams, including design engineers, flight operations, and avionics engineers, to introduce new features and product enhancements that realize our customers' visions.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in safety regulations and sensor technology, integrating best practices into your workflows.
What We Are Looking For
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Experience: Significant experience with model-based programming, preferably within the aviation or space industry; familiarity with associated standards and best practices; programming experience in C or a similar language is a plus.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of model-based programming (Simulink or similar); good understanding of flight dynamics; capability to design comprehensive test programs from unit to system level.
- Communication: Excellent technical communication skills.
