Position Overview: Flight Control Software Engineer

As a Flight Control Software Engineer at ANAVIA, you will play a pivotal role in the design, integration, and testing of flight control software for our unmanned helicopter systems. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will help ensure our systems are reliable, efficient, and compliant with industry standards.

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Flight Control Software: Design, implement, and test model-based software to enable new flight functionalities.
  • Simulation: Thoroughly test newly implemented features within a robust simulation framework.
  • Documentation: Contribute to the creation of documentation and training materials that outline the flight control logic.
  • Autonomy: Design safe, reliable, autonomous flight sequences tailored to customer needs and compliant with the latest safety regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams, including design engineers, flight operations, and avionics engineers, to provide new features and product enhancements that align with our customers' visions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in safety regulations and sensor technology, integrating best practices into workflows.

Qualifications

To convince us that you are the right fit for this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Significant experience with model-based programming, preferably within the aviation or space industry, and familiarity with associated standards and best practices; proficiency in programming in C or similar is an advantage.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of model-based programming (Simulink or similar); good understanding of flight dynamics; ability to design comprehensive test programs from unit to system level.
  • Communication: Excellent technical communication skills.
