ANAVIA specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) systems weighing up to 500 kilograms. We offer industry-leading unmanned helicopter systems tailored for various mission profiles, including Surveillance & Reconnaissance, Inspection, Mapping, and Cargo.
Position: Flight Control Software Engineer
As a Flight Control Software Engineer at ANAVIA, you will play a critical role in the design, integration, and testing of flight control software for our unmanned helicopter systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our systems are reliable, efficient, and compliant with industry standards.
Your Main Tasks
- Flight Control Software: Design, implement, and test model-based software to enable innovative flight functionalities.
- Simulation: Test newly implemented features using a comprehensive simulation framework.
- Documentation: Assist in creating documentation and training materials that outline the flight control logic.
- Autonomy: Design safe and reliable autonomous flight sequences that meet customer needs and adhere to the latest safety regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams, including design engineers, flight operations, and avionics engineers to provide new features and product enhancements that bring our customer's vision to life.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in safety regulations and sensor technology, ensuring best practices are incorporated into workflows.
What We Are Looking For
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: Significant experience with model-based programming, preferably in the aviation or space industry; familiarity with associated standards and best practices; experience in programming with C or similar is an advantage.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of model-based programming tools (Simulink or similar); good understanding of flight dynamics; ability to design thorough test programs from unit to system level.
- Communication: Excellent technical communication skills.
