Localfish is an enthusiastic Swiss start-up that is currently revolutionizing the fish market in Switzerland with its sustainable, local fish farming methods. We produce healthy, fresh, and exceptionally tasty perch, zander, and catfish across three organic, land-based aquacultures located in Bischofszell, Rafz, and Lyss. What You Can Expect
- Responsible for the care and maintenance of the fish farm, including managing water parameters, cleaning, sorting, and feeding.
- Collaborate with the farm manager to oversee the entire production area.
- Provide process engineering support for circulation systems, ensuring optimal water quality and effective feed management.
- Ensure the functionality of the fish farm through operation, adjustments, and monitoring.
- Respond promptly to error messages from the farm's alarm system.
- Record performance characteristics and the condition of the fish and RAS system through detailed analyses, documentation, and logs.
- Conduct preparatory work, including holding the fish as necessary.
- Enforce safety, quality, and hygiene regulations within the facility.
- Manage employees and oversee stock management to ensure timely completion of orders.
- Control and monitor the production process for efficiency.
- Coordinate logistics between the production facility and processing unit.
What You Bring
- Completed vocational training or relevant experience in a similar role.
- Basic knowledge of animal welfare, fish farming, water protection, and feed analysis.
- Category B and B/E driving licenses (trailer) with experience in transporting fish.
- A passion for working with fish and a commitment to the conscious use of natural resources.
- An efficient, organized approach paired with a precise, persistent, and resilient work ethic, even under pressure.
- A motivated, determined, and communicative personality with a strong sense of hygiene and quality awareness.
- Good knowledge of German; basic English skills are an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
