Localfish is an enthusiastic Swiss start-up that is currently revolutionizing the Swiss fish market with its innovative and sustainable fish farming methods. We produce healthy, fresh, and exceptionally tasty perch, zander, and catfish in three organic, land-based aquacultures located in Bischofszell, Rafz, and Lyss. What You Can Expect
- You will be responsible for the care and maintenance of the fish farm, including monitoring water parameters, cleaning, sorting, and feeding.
- As an independent personality, you will be jointly responsible for the entire production area in collaboration with the farm manager.
- Provide process engineering support for circulation systems, focusing on water quality maintenance and feed management.
- Ensure the functionality of the fish farm through operation, adjustment, and monitoring.
- Respond promptly to error alerts from the fish farm's alarm system.
- Record performance characteristics and conditions of the fish and RAS system, including analyses, documentation, and logs.
- Perform preparatory work such as holding the fish.
- Comply with and enforce safety, quality, and hygiene regulations.
- Manage employees effectively.
- Complete orders on time and manage stock efficiently.
- Control and monitor the entire production process.
- Handle goods logistics between the production facility and processing area.
What You Bring With You
- Completed vocational training or experience in a similar position.
- Basic knowledge of animal welfare, fish farming techniques, water protection, feed analysis, and extraction methods.
- A Category B and B/E (trailer) driving license and experience in transporting fish.
- A passion for working with fish and a commitment to the responsible use of natural resources.
- An efficient and organized approach, coupled with a precise, persistent, and resilient work attitude, even under pressure.
- A motivated, determined, and communicative personality with a strong awareness of hygiene and quality.
- Good knowledge of German; basic knowledge of English is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
