Finance Business Partner - Commercial

As a Commercial Finance Business Partner, you will be a trusted advisor to the business, steering decision-making, prioritization, and resource allocation. Your role will empower long-term profitable growth and optimize value for our customers. You will support the Division Industrial (DI) while reporting to the Finance Business Partner DI, working as an individual contributor with the potential for career advancement into a direct leadership role.
Your Responsibilities
Enable strategic objectives by fostering business understanding of financial performance drivers, identifying opportunities for revenue growth, cost savings, and cash flow improvements, while leading their execution.
Support critical decision-making and resource prioritization through fact-based analysis, actionable insights, business cases, and comprehensive value stream analyses.
Oversee standard finance processes including actuals, forecasting, and planning, while providing ad hoc business support.
Lead or contribute to finance projects such as M&A activities and the development of business cases for future growth.
Collaborate within the global Finance Business Partnering team to enhance value creation via investment effectiveness and operational efficiencies, ensuring compliance remains a top priority.
Champion enabling technologies and agile working methods.
Drive process standardization and simplification across finance deliverables.
Balance business and finance interests, considering both short- and long-term perspectives as well as global and local priorities.
Support talent development initiatives within the local finance organization.
Commercial Finance Focus
Manage sales reporting and forecasting, customer and product profitability monitoring, market and customer segmentation.
Provide commercial contract support, including pricing and payment terms, and oversee dunning processes.
Build and maintain strong relationships with sales and manufacturing teams, effectively resolving complex customer issues.
Our Requirements
A university degree or equivalent qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline, complemented by at least 7 years of experience in controlling and finance business partnering.
Proven direct and/or indirect leadership experience.
Comprehensive understanding of the entire value chain—from R&D and operations to commercial—and familiarity with the markets in which we operate.
A self-driven, delivery-oriented mindset paired with entrepreneurial curiosity.
Ability to build trust-based relationships that foster constructive challenge and collaboration.
Strong skills in inspiring, mobilizing, and persuading stakeholders effectively.
Excellent negotiation and relationship management capabilities.
A structured approach to tasks combined with strong analytical rigor.
Clear communication of financial insights, translating complex numbers into compelling business narratives.
Experience working in international, dynamic, matrix organizations.
