We are seeking a talented and driven Field Account Manager for our Sales Bioprocess Solutions department, based in Switzerland, close to Bern. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for managing our Strategic Account while focusing on the complete Sartorius Bioprocess Solutions portfolio. Our team consists of four dedicated professionals, and we are excited about the prospect of shaping the future together. This is a full-time remote position that requires occasional on-site presence at our strategic account in Visp, alongside the flexibility to work remotely. A willingness to travel within the region is essential, with approximately 50% of travel expected.

Your Responsibilities

  • Identify new business opportunities aligned with the organization's overall market and growth strategy.
  • Actively drive newly launched innovative products and services into the marketplace, proactively following up on the successful implementation of sales activities.
  • Assess and analyze customer needs, generate leads, respond to inquiries, and suggest products and services as appropriate.
  • Develop and implement account plans while coordinating resources accordingly.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including C-suite influencers, engineers, scientists, and procurement, to enhance market awareness and develop successful strategies for gaining new business.
  • Coordinate and participate in marketing activities within the assigned territory.
  • Manage and execute projects while adhering to strict procedures and deadlines.
  • Articulate technical and business concepts to meet customer needs and support supply chain and quality issues.
  • Build and manage strong customer relationships for long-term partnerships.
  • Prepare quarterly budgets and forecasts.

What Will Convince Us

  • An academic degree in biotechnology, biomedical engineering, or a related field in life sciences.
  • Several years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, including areas such as process development, application support, or sales.
  • A comprehensive understanding of biologics drug development and application processes, with the ability to effectively communicate and present technical value.
  • A proven track record of teamwork, working seamlessly with cross-functional teams without formal authority while taking strong ownership of projects.
  • A commercial mindset and an ability to inspire business acumen.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
  • Strong general sales skills, presentation abilities, and solid business acumen.
  • A positive, goal-oriented, and proactive personality.
  • Openness to change and a commitment to pursuing continuous improvement with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally (50%).
