Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Lead to oversee the Fabrics & PowerBI team within the Analytics & Data department. This role is responsible for leading a team that manages PowerBI support, Fabric/PowerBI governance, and the data citizen community. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Microsoft Fabric and PowerBI technologies, as well as proven experience in team leadership, reporting directly to the Head of Analytics & Data in the IT department.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the team responsible for PowerBI support, ensuring timely and effective resolution of technical issues.
- Oversee the implementation and enforcement of Fabric and PowerBI governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance.
- Guide the team in building and maintaining the Fabrics data lakehouse to enable efficient reporting for both IT-provided and self-service reports.
- Ensure alignment with PowerApp development teams on data structures and integrations.
- Support the team in defining and enhancing data modeling standards for the Fabrics lakehouse.
- Foster and grow the data citizen community by promoting best practices and providing necessary resources and training.
- Monitor team performance and provide mentorship and development opportunities.
- Ensure reports are built in line with Accelleron reporting standards (based on IBCS).
- Stay informed about the latest updates and trends in PowerBI and Microsoft Fabric to guide strategic improvements.
Your Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in leading technical teams, preferably in the analytics or data governance domain.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Fabric and PowerBI technologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive team performance.
- Strong ability to turn data into compelling stories and best practice visualizations in line with IBCS.
- Experience with data governance principles and best practices.
- Knowledge of SQL, DAX, and other relevant programming languages is a plus.
- Proficiency in the English language.
