Position: Fabrics Data Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fabrics Data Architect to join our Analytics & Data department within the IT organization. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the Microsoft Fabric data lakehouse architecture to support effective reporting and analytics. This architecture will serve as a strategic backbone for both IT-managed and self-service reporting. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data modeling and Microsoft Fabric architecture and will collaborate with cross-functional teams. The Fabrics Data Architect will report to the Fabrics & PowerBI Team Lead.

Your Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain the Microsoft Fabric data lakehouse for efficient reporting.
• Define and enforce data modeling standards for the Fabric lakehouse to ensure consistency, scalability, and performance.
• Collaborate with PowerApp development teams to standardize and enhance data modeling practices across the organization.
• Develop and maintain the overall Microsoft Fabric architecture, ensuring it aligns with the organizational data strategy and governance.

Your Background:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in designing and maintaining data lakehouse architectures, preferably within Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong understanding of normalized and denormalized database structures and data modeling best practices.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including PowerApp developers and business stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to architect scalable and efficient data solutions.
• Strong communication and documentation skills supporting governance and knowledge sharing.
• Proficiency in the English language.
