Job Title: External Supply Chain Manager
As an External Supply Chain Manager, you play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless availability of our Pharmaceuticals portfolio. You will manage supply chain planning with external contract manufacturing partners (CMOs), driving the operational implementation of end-to-end supply chain strategies. Your focus will be on inventory and risk management for both our existing portfolio and new product launches. This position is essential in steering business operations with CMOs, ensuring operational readiness and contributing to global product replenishment. Your Tasks and Responsibilities:
- You will play a pivotal role in our CMO governance as the Supply Chain Management contact within a cross-functional team that includes External Supply Management, Quality, Procurement, and others.
- You will oversee supply chain operations for the assigned CMO, providing production plans, ensuring timely material supply, and placing purchase orders.
- You will ensure the accuracy and consistency of supply planning-related master data and planning parameters in relevant systems.
- You will facilitate the timely and correct setup of new supply points in relevant IT systems for planning, execution, and product change management.
- You will consistently strive to enhance process and systems capabilities within the community.
Who You Are:
- You hold a degree in supply chain, engineering, computer science, economics, or a related field.
- You bring experience in supply chain, procurement, quality, R&D, operations, or commercial roles, preferably in a Life Sciences or FMCG environment.
- You have a strategic, analytical, and achievement-oriented mindset, along with strong data management and analysis skills.
- You are an adaptable problem-solver, comfortable with ambiguity and swift change.
- You are proficient with supply chain software, process automation, and data quality standards.
- You possess excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and collaboration skills.
- You have knowledge of legal, regulatory, and GMP compliance requirements in the pharmaceutical sector.
- You champion teamwork, continuous improvement, and value stream optimization.
- You are skilled in leveraging GenAI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) for planning, automation, and productivity.
- You are fluent in English, with proficiency in German and Spanish considered a plus.
