As an External Supply Chain Manager, you play a vital role in ensuring seamless product availability for our Pharmaceuticals portfolio by managing the supply chain planning with external contract manufacturing partners (CMOs). You will drive the operational implementation of end-to-end supply chain strategies, focusing on inventory management and risk management for our existing portfolio and new product launches. Your expertise is essential in steering business operations with CMOs, ensuring operational readiness, and contributing to global product replenishment. YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- You play a pivotal role in our CMO governance as the Supply Chain Management contact within a cross-functional team that includes External Supply Management, Quality, Procurement, and others.
- You own supply chain operations for the assigned CMO by providing production plans, ensuring timely supply of materials, and placing purchase orders.
- You ensure the accuracy and consistency of supply planning-related master data and planning parameters in relevant systems.
- You enable the timely and correct setup of new supply points in relevant IT systems for planning, execution, and product change management.
- You constantly strive to enhance process and system capabilities within the community.
WHO YOU ARE
- You hold a degree in supply chain, engineering, computer science, economics, or a related field.
- You bring experience in supply chain, procurement, quality, R&D, operations, or commercial roles, preferably in a Life Sciences or FMCG environment.
- You possess a strategic, analytical, and achievement-oriented mindset, along with strong data management and analysis skills.
- You are an adaptable problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.
- You are proficient with supply chain software, process automation, and data quality standards.
- You excel in stakeholder management, negotiation, and collaboration.
- You have knowledge of legal, regulatory, and GMP compliance requirements within the pharmaceutical industry.
- You champion teamwork, continuous improvement, and value stream optimization.
- You are skilled in utilizing GenAI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) for planning, automation, and productivity.
- You are fluent in English, with knowledge of German and Spanish being an advantage.
