Novartis Pharma Services (NPhS) plays a crucial role in delivering life-changing medicines to patients worldwide. We export and distribute pharmaceutical products to more than 80 countries and operate a network of over 30 representation/branch offices and Non-Trading Legal Entities (NTLE).

As an Export Finance Manager with a strong emphasis on technology, you will serve as a trusted Finance Business Partner and the primary point of contact for all finance-related matters across selected Export markets. Your responsibilities will include providing financial guidance on commercial transactions, leading insightful contract assessments, and ensuring compliant, efficient operations in a global environment. Additionally, you will contribute to high-impact projects focused on technology, aimed at simplifying and enhancing our monitoring and oversight processes and supporting key transformational initiatives such as SAP HANA.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

Act as the Finance Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for defined representation/branch offices, NTLE, and countries without local presence, providing support for all finance matters. Liaise with relevant functions including Business Partner, Export Operations, Credit Management, Legal, and Supply Chain Management.
Perform sales recognition assessments and validate provisions for sales reductions and deferrals against agreed commercial contractual terms.
Review commercial and service contracts and create Accounting Position Papers (APP) or Accounting Position Memos (APM) as required. Follow up with Legal, Technical Accounting, and Export Countries to ensure accurate accounting and reporting.
Resolve accounting and reporting issues and disputes, ensuring alignment between relevant functions.
Contribute to simplifying Export business processes by supporting the current SAP HANA/LDC project and actively developing Monitoring and Oversight tools using the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agent).

Essential Requirements:

Relevant degree (e.g., Finance & Accounting or Business).
Proficiency in English required - both spoken and written; knowledge of additional languages is an asset.
Demonstrated experience in accounting or controlling, ideally within a commercial and/or export business context.
Strong IT user knowledge, with a solid understanding of the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agent).
Ability to deliver projects and drive harmonized and efficient processes across multiple functions/departments using Citizen Development technologies (Microsoft Power Platform).
Experience in preparing financial presentations for Senior Leadership.
Ability to navigate complex environments and distill complexity into actionable recommendations.
Excellent analytical skills coupled with strong business acumen and business partnering experience.
