Job Opportunity: Commissioning Expert
We are seeking a skilled Commissioning Expert to work under the supervision of the UNOG/SHP Senior Project Manager. The successful candidate will play a vital role in developing handover and commissioning strategies while monitoring the execution of the associated steps throughout the process.
The Commissioning Expert will collaborate with Contractors, SHP teams, and future end users (ICTS, SSS, and FMS) to ensure active participation from relevant points of contact across different disciplines during the commissioning and handover of work sections. This role includes responsibilities ranging from reviewing the commissioning plan to finalizing substantial completion documentation and overseeing the resolution of punch list items.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the development of handover and commissioning strategies.
- Liaise with the existing facilities management group.
- Integrate the commissioning plan into construction documents and monitor through construction and handover phases.
- Organize relevant training sessions for operators.
- Assist in reviewing design and construction submittals to ensure compliance with project objectives, building codes, and quality standards.
- Prepare support materials for meetings with internal clients and stakeholders.
- Participate in discussions to define SHP requirements and review construction from end-user perspectives.
- Conduct periodic site quality assurance inspections, including observation reports during the handover period.
- Monitor handover and commissioning activities in accordance with contract specifications.
- Review closeout documentation, including Operation & Maintenance as-built drawings.
- Prepare monthly reports and forecasts related to handover activities.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by the SHP Senior Project Manager to achieve SHP objectives.
