Job Overview

At AMRIZE, we utilize an advanced plant operations system known as TIS (Technical Information System) to monitor performance, manage quality, and generate technical reports. We are seeking a dedicated TIS Expert to lead TIS activities within our organization, ensuring proper utilization, driving development, and providing essential training. TIS functions as a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and interfaces with various plant systems, including the Plant Control System (PCS), laboratory equipment, and the business ERP.

Responsibilities

  • Define and review the information content of TIS, including signals, naming conventions, interfaces, and reports.
  • Serve as an expert in system configuration and the creation of necessary reports.
  • Oversee system operations, including software upgrades and enhancements.
  • Ensure continuous data validation to maintain the accuracy and reliability of data within TIS, thereby enhancing data integrity and system utilization.
  • Achieve complete plant integration across all operational areas, including maintenance, quality, production, process, logistics, and plant management.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to plant TIS key users and end users, sharing best practices in operational technology (OT) and information technology.
  • Collaborate with plant operations, IT, maintenance, and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and resolve plant bottlenecks.
  • Have hands-on experience with other plant systems, such as kiln master, energy audits, or advanced process control.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Automation Engineering.
  • Project management certification.

Work Experience

  • 5-10 years of experience in the cement industry, preferably with a global cement company.
  • 5 years of experience in process automation for heavy or process industry IT and OT.
  • 2+ years of experience in special projects such as digital twins, integrated digital application platforms, digital workplaces, integrated operations centers, data lakes, or other relevant topics.
  • Experience in coaching and transferring know-how for complex projects.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Holistic industrial solutions architecture.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Interfaces control bus configuration expertise.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • LabVIEW programming skills (advantageous).

Language Requirements

  • English (mandatory).
  • Spanish, German, and French (advantageous).

Travel Requirements

Willingness to travel up to 25%, primarily to North America.
