Job Overview

AMRIZE leverages an advanced system at our plant operations to monitor performance, manage quality, and facilitate technical reporting. This sophisticated system, known as the Technical Information System (TIS), plays a crucial role in our manufacturing execution processes. We are currently seeking a TIS Expert who will lead TIS activities within the organization, ensuring optimal utilization, driving development, and providing essential training.

The TIS acts as a pivotal interface connecting several plant systems, including our Plant Control System (PCS), laboratory equipment, and the business ERP.

Responsibilities

  • Define and review the information content of TIS, including signals, naming conventions, interfaces, and reports.
  • Become an expert in system configuration and develop necessary reports.
  • Oversee system operations, including software upgrades and enhancements.
  • Ensure continuous data validation to maintain the accuracy and reliability of data within TIS, thereby enhancing data integrity and system utilization.
  • Achieve comprehensive integration of all operational areas within the plant, including maintenance, quality, production, processes, logistics, and management.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to plant TIS key users and end-users, including the sharing of best practices in operational technology (OT) and information technology.
  • Collaborate with plant operations, IT, maintenance, and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and resolve operational bottlenecks.
  • Demonstrate experience with other plant systems, including kiln master, energy audits, or advanced process control.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Automation Engineering.
  • Project management certification.

Work Experience

  • 5-10 years of experience in the cement industry, preferably with a global cement company.
  • 5 years of experience in process automation within heavy or process industry IT and OT.
  • 2+ years of experience in special projects such as digital twins, integrated digital application platforms, digital workplaces, integrated operations centers, data lakes, or other relevant topics.
  • Experience in coaching and knowledge transfer on complex projects.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Holistic understanding of industrial solutions architecture.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in interfaces control bus configuration.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • LabVIEW programming skills (advantageous).

Language Requirements

  • Fluency in English (mandatory).
  • Proficiency in Spanish, German, or French is a plus.

Travel Requirements

  • Willingness to travel 25% of the time, primarily to North America.
