Job Overview

AMRIZE employs an advanced system at plant operations to monitor performance, manage quality, and facilitate technical reporting known as the Technical Information System (TIS). The TIS Expert plays a crucial role in leading TIS activities within the organization, ensuring proper utilization, driving development, and providing necessary training. As a manufacturing execution system (MES), TIS interfaces with several plant systems, including the plant control system (PCS), laboratory equipment, and the business ERP.

Responsibilities

  • Define and review information content of TIS, including signals, naming conventions, interfaces, and reports.
  • Expertly configure the system and create necessary reports.
  • Oversee system operation, including software upgrades and enhancements.
  • Ensure continuous data validation to secure accuracy and reliability, maintaining data integrity to enhance system utilization.
  • Achieve complete integration of all operational areas within the plant, including maintenance, quality, production, process, logistics, and management.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to plant TIS key users and end users, sharing best practices in operational technology (OT) and information technology.
  • Collaborate with plant operations, IT, maintenance, and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and resolve bottlenecks.
  • Utilize experience with other plant systems, such as kiln master, energy audits, or advanced process control.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Automation Engineering.
  • Project management certification.

Work Experience

  • 5-10 years of experience in the cement industry, preferably with a global cement company.
  • 5 years of experience in process automation for heavy or process industries involving IT and OT.
  • 2+ years of experience in special projects like digital twins, integrated digital application platforms, digital workplaces, integrated operations centers, data lakes, or other relevant initiatives.
  • Experience in coaching and transferring know-how for complex projects.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Holistic industrial solutions architecture.

  • Interface control bus configuration.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • LabVIEW programming skills (advantageous).

Language Requirements

  • English (mandatory).
  • Spanish, German, and French are advantageous.

Travel Requirements

  • 25% travel, primarily to North America.
