Summary
The team at Advanced Quantitative Sciences (AQS) employs data science and advanced analytics to support drug development, utilizing methodologies on patient-level data, including clinical, real-world, and biomarker data throughout the clinical development process. AQS collaborates closely with internal and external partners to enhance drug development decisions. As the Executive Director (ED) of AQS Transformation, you will lead the comprehensive delivery of the AQS transformation from design to implementation. This role involves delivering major strategic business projects for AQS, Development, and the enterprise, while serving as a leader in the Global Development strategy community. You will work alongside the AQS leadership team to accelerate our transition to a modern technology platform and shape the future state.
About the Role
Your Key Responsibilities:
Develop an end-to-end transformation roadmap and define implementation strategies, operations, and deliverables to increase speed and reduce costs in a complex, rapidly changing organization, while also boosting productivity and ensuring high quality.
Deliver roadmaps across focus areas and supporting workstreams, including coordination of efforts and reporting to the Global Head of AQS and AQS leadership team.
Lead the development and updates of the business case, including value levers and relevant indicators as appropriate.
Establish and monitor leading and lagging KPIs related to transformation progress and risk management.
Provide expertise in process design, risk management, governance, organizational design, resilience, and compliance.
Lead the transformation office and collaborate with internal teams and external consultants.
Chair various governance and advisory committees for AQS transformation, especially Business Reviews with the Global Head of Development, Head of SPPO, CFO, and the Technology Governance Committee.
Handle submissions in R, utilizing open-source and AI tools to enhance data flows.
Develop transition plans from the old to new operating model, designed to mitigate risk.
Collaborate with AQS leadership to integrate technology and innovation portfolio deliverables into the transformation roadmap, as well as projects impacting broader transformation efforts.
Essential Requirements:
Advanced degree (MBA or similar) in a relevant field, with a minimum of 12+ years of experience in the healthcare sector and a strong understanding of the drug development process.
Significant experience leading major global business transformations.
Enterprise-level leadership experience with a systems-thinking ability to identify key pain points and provide direction and vision.
Capability to advocate for change and engage with diverse stakeholders across divisions.
Extensive project management experience.
Proven track record in ideating and executing complex change projects.
Successful leadership of multidisciplinary teams.

Demonstrated success in planning and executing programs within a matrixed organization.
