Role Synopsis
The Execution Trader will be responsible for executing trades as directed by the CIO. The successful candidate will ensure that trades are executed efficiently and at the best possible price, while adhering to the firm's risk management and compliance policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute trades across various asset classes.
- Monitor market conditions and provide real-time feedback to the CIO.
- Ensure best execution practices are followed to achieve optimal trade outcomes.
- Maintain and develop relationships with brokers and trading counterparties.
- Manage trade execution systems and ensure they are functioning correctly.
- Collaborate with the risk management team to ensure trades fall within risk parameters.
- Prepare and maintain detailed reports for management.
- Stay updated on market trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in trading.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a trading role or equivalent, preferably within a hedge fund or trading house.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, trading systems, and execution strategies.
- Proficiency in trading platforms and tools such as Bloomberg and EMSX.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in trading.
