Role Synopsis
The Execution Trader will play a critical role in executing trades as directed by the Chief Investment Officer (CIO). The successful candidate will focus on executing trades efficiently while ensuring optimal outcomes, all in accordance with the firm's risk management and compliance policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute trades across diverse asset classes.
- Monitor market conditions and provide real-time feedback to the CIO.
- Adhere to best execution practices to ensure optimal trade outcomes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and trading counterparties.
- Manage trade execution systems and ensure their proper functioning.
- Collaborate with the risk management team to align trades within risk parameters.
- Prepare and maintain detailed reports for management.
- Stay informed about market trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in trading.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Over 3 years of experience in a trading role or equivalent, ideally within a hedge fund or trading house.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, trading systems, and execution strategies.
- Proficiency in trading platforms and tools such as Bloomberg and EMSX.
- Excellent analytical skills and acute attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance associated with trading.
