Job Title: Exchange Online Migration & Mobility Lead

Purpose
The Exchange Online Migration & Mobility Lead is responsible for overseeing the migration of mailboxes from on-premises Exchange (hybrid-prepared) to Exchange Online. Additionally, this role includes transforming the BlackBerry Work/Access experience into a modern mobile solution.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement the mailbox migration strategy, including wave planning, pilot phases, cutover, rollback procedures, coexistence management, and hypercare.
- Plan and manage mail-flow, calendar availability, public folders, shared mailboxes, archives, and larger mailbox requirements.
- Develop BYOD mobile access solutions (Outlook mobile with Intune MAM) to replace BlackBerry Work and Access, including intranet access.
- Collaborate with Endpoint and Security engineers to ensure compatibility of the new Outlook client and add-ins.
- Oversee migration tools, automation, reporting, and readiness checks for each migration wave.
- Supervise nearshore/offshore migration engineers to ensure quality and adherence to project standards.
Required Experience & Skills
- 7+ years of experience in messaging engineering, with at least 3 successful Exchange hybrid-to-online migrations involving 5,000+ mailboxes.
- Extensive knowledge of PowerShell and automation techniques.
- Experience in modernizing mobile mail solutions (BlackBerry or similar to Outlook mobile / Intune).
- Familiarity with regulated environments, including journaling, retention policies, and compliance archiving.
- Strong organizational skills and adherence to planning and runbook protocols.
Nice to Have
- MS-102 certification or equivalent.
- Experience with third-party migration tools.
- Knowledge of multi-region tenant/data residency considerations.
