SwissCore, the contact office in Brussels, serves as a bridge between Swiss and European communities in the fields of education, research, and innovation. It also supports the participation of Swiss research and innovation institutions in EU programs. SwissCore is supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF), the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SBFI), and Innosuisse. Our partners in Switzerland include Euresearch, Movetia, Swissuniversities, and the ETH Council.

Your Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between Swiss and European stakeholders and programs in the field of research, particularly regarding instruments under Horizon Europe.
  • Produce high-quality, targeted information about research policies and programs at the EU level.
  • Support Switzerland’s participation in EU research programs and collaborate closely with Swiss research stakeholders, focusing on Horizon Europe.
  • Promote and network Swiss research actors at the European level.
  • Represent Swiss research stakeholders in official committees, meetings, and events.
  • Contribute to the visibility of the Swiss research landscape in Brussels.
  • Be prepared to cover educational and innovation-related dossiers if necessary.

Your Profile

  • Master's degree (or equivalent qualification).
  • Several years of professional experience in the public or private sector.
  • Familiarity with the Swiss research landscape and solid knowledge of EU research policy and related programs.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the Switzerland-EU relationship in a broader political context.
  • Excellent editorial skills and proficiency in German, French, and English.
  • Strong analytical skills, a passion for research work, organizational talent, and good IT skills.
  • Confident and engaging demeanor, demonstrated resilience, and networking capabilities.
  • A keen interest in promoting collaboration in the research field between Switzerland and Europe.
