Join SwissCore as a European Research Advisor (100%, Brussels)
SwissCore, the contact office in Brussels, serves as a bridge between Swiss and European communities in the fields of education, research, and innovation. It facilitates the participation of Swiss BFI institutions in EU programs in these areas. SwissCore is supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF), the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SBFI), and Innosuisse. Its partners in Switzerland include Euresearch, Movetia, Swissuniversities, and ETH Council. We are seeking a dedicated individual to fill the position of:
Job Responsibilities
- Act as a link between Swiss and European actors and programs in the research sector, particularly regarding the tools available under Horizon Europe.
- Prepare high-quality, targeted information on EU research policies and programs.
- Support Switzerland's participation in EU research programs and collaborate closely with Swiss research stakeholders, focusing on Horizon Europe.
- Encourage and network Swiss research actors at the European level.
- Represent Swiss research actors in official bodies, meetings, and events.
- Contribute to the visibility of the Swiss research landscape in Brussels.
- Be prepared to cover dossiers related to education and innovation as needed.
Your Profile
- Master's degree or equivalent qualification.
- Several years of professional experience in the public or private sector.
- Familiarity with the Swiss research landscape and solid understanding of EU research policy and programs.
- Capability to view the Switzerland-EU relationship within a comprehensive political context.
- Excellent editorial skills, with proficiency in German, French, and English.
- Analytical abilities, a passion for research work, organizational talent, and good IT skills.
- Confident and engaging demeanor, along with proven resilience and networking capabilities.
- A strong interest in promoting collaboration in research between Switzerland and Europe.
